IDF eliminates Hamas military intelligence chief in southern Gaza

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit on Friday announced the targeted elimination of Osama Tabash, a senior Hamas military intelligence leader in southern Gaza, in a coordinated strike on Thursday.
Tabash, the head of Hamas’ Military Intelligence and Surveillance and Targeting Unit in the region, was directly involved in planning attacks against Israel, including a 2005 suicide bombing that killed ISA coordinator Oded Sharon.
“His elimination impairs Hamas' intelligence-gathering capabilities and its attempts to harm IDF troops operating in the area,” the military's statement read.
