An Ohio resident has been charged with threatening to murder U.S. Vice President JD Vance. Shannon Mather (33) was arrested by the U.S. Secret Service, and according to the U.S. Department of Justice, he said he intended to locate the vice president and shoot him with an M14 automatic rifle. During the investigation, it was also discovered that he possessed child pornography materials. Prosecutors said he is an 'extremely serious offender' who will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. According to the indictment, Mather threatened to murder Vance during his visit to Ohio last month.
