The International Criminal Court in The Hague (ICC) ruled that Hungary violated its obligation as a signatory to the Rome Statute by failing to arrest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to the country from April 3 to 6. The decision, published today, states that Hungary prevented the court from exercising its authority by not complying with the ICC's request to temporarily arrest Netanyahu. Hungary, on the other hand, argued that it operates under a dualistic legal system and therefore has not implemented the Rome Statute in its domestic legislation.
