The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has published its Education at a Glance report for 2025, reviewing various education indicators across its 38 member countries, including Israel. According to the report, which refers to data from 2023-2024, one-fifth of teachers in Israel resign within their first five years, and student crowding in the country is approximately 30% higher on average than in the developed countries that are members of the organization. Additionally, the report indicates that national expenditure as a percentage of GDP for elementary education is among the highest in OECD countries, and that Israel's population is among the most educated in the world with 50.5% having higher education ("tertiary education"), compared to 41.5% in OECD countries.
