CNN reported that since the collapse of the ceasefire with Hamas on March 18, nearly 80% of the Gaza Strip has been designated as a 'military zone' or received evacuation orders. According to the report, Gazans are prohibited from entering an area extending 2-3 kilometers into Gaza's border, including a buffer zone approximately one kilometer wide along the border, where homes, factories and agricultural lands have been systematically destroyed to ensure the security of Israeli border communities. Access to fishing has been almost completely banned, and according to the UN, most fishing boats in Gaza have been destroyed.
