Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva updated that the condition of one of the injured evacuated from the explosion site at the Intel plant is critical, and two others are in serious condition. Kiryat Gat Police Station Commander, Chief Superintendent Shalom Shai Alali, said at the explosion site that he "cannot point to a suspicion of criminal activity or negligence at this time. We understand that one truck was emptying material into containers at the plant. After it disconnected and the second one connected - the explosion occurred." He added that "we are still cooling down the site at the plant to prevent another incident. The matter is being examined by professional officials to see if there is an additional leak - as of now we have not received any indication and the scene appears to be under control."
