Netanyahu and government file objection to High Court over Ben-Gvir's dismissal: 'Respect our sovereignty'

|
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli government filed an objection with the High Court of Justice against petitions calling for the dismissal of Itamar Ben-Gvir from his position as National Security Minister. According to the government and Netanyahu: "The court is requested to respect the government's sovereignty and refrain from severely harming the separation of powers and political intervention in the lawful composition of the government." It was further stated that "the petitions should have been dismissed outright, primarily due to the lack of any legal grounds for such exceptional and extreme intervention in the foremost constitutional act."
