The European Commission is expected to dilute parts of the artificial intelligence oversight law passed in the European Union that came into effect last year, following pressure from tech giants and the US government. This was reported by the Financial Times. According to the newspaper, the move reflects Brussels' efforts to make the European bloc more competitive against the US and China. The draft proposal to reduce the law's power was submitted amid a dispute between large companies, Washington and the EU regarding how aggressively to enforce digital and technology regulations that the EU is tightening.
