The Pentagon has acknowledged that a ballistic missile Iran fired toward Qatar late last month, in response to the American attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, directly hit Al-Udeid base near Doha. The admission came from Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell after the AP news agency analyzed satellite images indicating a direct hit. According to him, "minimal" damage was caused to equipment and infrastructure at the base that serves American forces in the Middle East. After the attack, US President Donald Trump mocked Tehran, saying the attack was "weak and coordinated," during which 14 missiles were fired, 13 of which were intercepted and one "was launched in another direction."
