Education Minister Yoav Kish announced the postponement of matriculation exams scheduled for next week by an additional week. He presented three possible scenarios: holding the exams after the delay, if the security situation allows; postponing them to early September, when six days of concentrated exams will be held; and converting school grades to final matriculation scores - canceling the external exams. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education will ask schools to submit school grades for the remaining delayed matriculation exams now, as part of preparations for a scenario where matriculation exams might be converted to school grades.
