The French television channel RMC Découverte publicly apologized and removed from all its platforms a documentary about the future of French weaponry, after it was revealed that a 3D simulation incorporated into it, intended to illustrate a future nuclear strike, actually depicted the city of Tel Aviv as the target. The documentary "The New 'Rafale,' Drones and Cannons: The Revolution in French Armament" aired on September 1 and dealt with the next generation of French weapons systems. Researcher Eloïse Paillé, who specializes in nuclear issues at the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI), identified that the city shown was Tel Aviv and brought it to the channel's attention. An independent, Jewish-owned production company that worked on the documentary took the explosion video from a computer game, apparently unintentionally.
