Trump mediates: 'Leaders of Cambodia and Thailand agreed to meet and work on ceasefire'

|
U.S. President Donald Trump spoke again with Cambodian President Hun Manet and updated him on his conversation with Thailand's acting President Phumtham Wechayachai, amid border confrontations between the two countries. He wrote on his social network Truth Social that "both sides are interested in an immediate ceasefire and peace. Both also want to return to the 'trade table' with the U.S., which we see as inappropriate at this time until the fighting stops. They agreed to meet immediately and quickly to work on a ceasefire. When everything is signed and peace is within reach, I expect to finalize trade deals with both countries."
