As first reported by Ynet, contrary to most other reports in the international media, a significant breakthrough occurred during the day in the efforts of mediating countries, including Pakistan and Turkey, to bring the United States and Iran to accept a proposal for a temporary ceasefire during which negotiations will be conducted. On this issue, it was agreed that the ceasefire will apply to the Lebanese arena, meaning Israel and Hezbollah will hold their fire, while Iran will open the Strait of Hormuz.
