State fails to respond - High Court issues conditional order on government advertising ban in Haaretz

|
The High Court of Justice issued a conditional order regarding petitions concerning the cessation of government advertising in Haaretz, after ministers decided to stop advertising in the newspaper due to their opposition to its content. The court issued the order requiring the state to respond within 45 days as it had not provided reasoning for the decision, despite the directive from Justices Isaac Amit, Noam Sohlberg and Daphna Barak-Erez, and after the deputy attorneys general also clarified that the government must justify its decision.
