Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the release from captivity in Iraq of Elizabeth Tsurkov, who was kidnapped in March 2023. Netanyahu stated: "In a team effort led by the coordinator for prisoners and missing persons Gal Hirsch, which lasted many long months and after significant efforts, we succeeded in securing her release. I spoke with her mother and Avital, Elizabeth's sisters, and in the moving conversation I told them that all the people of Israel are happy to see her back home. We will continue to fight with courage and determination until we bring all our hostages home - both the living and the deceased."
