Second Authority: Proceedings Against 103fm Following Yinon Magal's Statements About Bereaved Families

|
The Second Authority announced it has opened violation proceedings against Radio 103fm following Yinon Magal's statements against bereaved families and relatives of hostages. "Magal referred on air to a series of people, including public figures, artists and members of bereaved families and families of hostages, who according to him participated in writing the book 'Mr. Abandonment,'" the Authority wrote in a letter sent to the radio station. They further wrote that beyond examining the violation under the "harmful broadcast" clause, they claim the call to vote for the Likud party violates the Election Law (Methods of Propaganda), the Second Authority Law and guidelines issued to stations last August.
