The State Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment at the Jerusalem District Court against Eliran Salmi, a Beit Shemesh resident, for the attempted murder of his ex-wife's partner. According to the indictment, on the night of August 30, Salmi waited outside his ex-wife's home, and when her partner arrived at the scene, Salmi approached him and threatened that if he called the police, he would 'blow him up with an explosive device.' About an hour later, Salmi returned to the house armed with a kitchen knife, climbed onto a canopy near the entrance and entered the home. He stabbed the complainant twice while shouting at him 'Die!' and subsequently stabbed him three more times in the back and bit his ear.
