29 firefighting teams from Afula station and other northern district stations, alongside assistance teams from the coastal district, are working to contain a large brush fire near Ramat HaShofet. Forces are operating with a surveillance helicopter, eight firefighting aircraft, volunteer units, firefighting teams from the Nature and Parks Authority and Jewish National Fund, as well as firefighting trailers and heavy mechanical equipment from Megiddo Regional Council. "Efforts are focused on containing the fire fronts and protecting Ramat HaShofet kibbutz, which received instructions to shelter in place due to heavy smoke," officials reported.
