Likud ministers and the Knesset Speaker are calling on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "to apply sovereignty over Judea and Samaria before the end of the Knesset summer session," ahead of his trip to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House. In a letter from Likud senior officials, it was written that "following the historic achievements of the State of Israel under your leadership against the axis of evil of Iran and its proxies, it is necessary to complete the mission and remove the existential threat from within, and prevent another massacre in the heart of the country. The strategic partnership and backing and support of the U.S. and President Donald Trump create a favorable time to lead this move now and secure Israel's security for generations." The initiative was formulated by the Yesha Council.
