The IDF released details from the initial investigation of the disaster in Beit Hanoun, in which five soldiers from the "Netzah Yehuda" battalion fell. From the details of the investigation cleared for publication, it appears that the explosive devices that detonated at the scene were all placed within the last 24 hours. Three devices exploded one after another, while the militants who planted them monitored the incident. Most of the soldiers who were wounded or killed in the incident were hit by the first two explosions - while simultaneous gunfire was directed at the force stationed there.
