The commander of the U.S. Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, confirmed to Reuters that Iran attacked U.S. commercial and military vessels earlier with cruise missiles, drones and small boats in the Strait of Hormuz area. According to him, "The U.S. destroyed six small Iranian boats that attempted to interfere" and intercepted the missiles and drones. He also said that Iranian forces are "strongly advised to stay away from U.S. military assets."
