Sources in Israel and Arab countries told U.S. President Donald Trump's administration that the regime in Iran may "not be weak enough to a level where an American strike would topple it," NBC reported citing two American officials briefed on the conversations, a source described as "familiar with the thinking of Israel's leadership" and two Arab sources. According to the report, the administration was advised to wait on striking Iran until the regime is weak enough. The sources who spoke with NBC noted that the situation in Iran is developing rapidly and the regime's stability could change quickly. Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reported that Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar tried to dissuade the White House from attacking Iran, as it could harm the American economy due to possible impact on oil markets. This is according to sources in Gulf countries.
