Prof. Trachtenberg: 'The layer holding the country is exhausted - we will pay for it soon'

|
Economist Prof. Manuel Trachtenberg addressed the burden carried by reservists during two years of war at the State Future Conference organized by ynet, "Yedioth Ahronoth" and the Open University. "I claim that the state is in human overdraft. We've heard about the sacrifices made by reservists. These valuable people go above and beyond both on the front lines and when they're in Gaza, they continue to operate their startup in Herzliya, and their wives bear on their shoulders the crazy effort of managing the home." He added that "this layer is exhausted. It has taken on too much and we will pay the price for it in the not-too-distant future."
