Defense Minister Israel Katz held a discussion last night regarding the drone threat at the Israel-Egypt border, and instructed the IDF to turn the area adjacent to the border into a closed military zone and to adjust the rules of engagement to hit any unauthorized entity that infiltrates the forbidden area to target drone operators and smugglers. The decision was made following massive weapons smuggling operations that continued for months.
