Israel's Supreme Court rejected a petition demanding that Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara be declared in a conflict of interest, preventing her from handling matters related to former Shin Bet chiefs Ronen Bar and Nadav Argaman. The petitioners claimed that the two had visited and supported her during her late husband Zion Miara's illness, who served in a senior position in the organization. Justice Noam Sohlberg wrote that "the visits were conducted in an official capacity, as part of the organization's support for its former employees, and not in the context of friendship relations. I cannot determine what was the nature of the relationship between respondents Argaman and Bar and the deceased."
