The Syrian Energy Ministry announced overnight a rise in petroleum product prices in the country, attributing the reason to an 'exceptional increase in the supply cost of these products worldwide, alongside maintenance at the Baniyas refinery.' The ministry claimed this is a temporary situation related to exceptional circumstances.
