Environmental Protection Minister Idit Silman called on U.S. President Donald Trump to impose sanctions on Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and Supreme Court President Yitzhak Amit. She wrote this in a post on her X account, following Trump's attack on President Isaac Herzog regarding a pardon for Prime Minister Netanyahu. "Your pressure regarding a pardon in the cases fabricated against Netanyahu is blessed," she wrote. "But it's important to understand who is preventing even a discussion of the request. The Attorney General is blocking any discussion of a pardon, while the Supreme Court President supports her and prevents her dismissal, and simultaneously overturns laws passed by the legislature. Since the U.S. champions democracy, the time has come to impose severe personal sanctions against both of them."
