The State Attorney's Office announced that Mazid Hamdan was convicted of bribery offenses for bribing Ze'ev Dolinsky, who served as the personal and senior adviser to former President Reuven Rivlin. According to the indictment, between 2018 and 2020, Hamdan transferred at least 6,000 shekels to Dolinsky in exchange for assistance in advancing requests with government authorities and public bodies, including matters related to planning and construction, licenses, entry permits to Israel and medical issues. Additionally, Hamdan acted together with another defendant in the case, Marwan Riyan, to bribe Dolinsky in order to advance appeals on the results of certification exams from the Health Ministry, in which two of his family members had failed.
