Thousands of ultra-Orthodox protesters gathered in the Bar Ilan Street area in Jerusalem for a rally against IDF conscription. The protest was initiated by several Hasidic groups together with Rabbi Moshe Tzadka, head of Porat Yosef Yeshiva and one of the prominent voices in the Sephardic community against military service. In a video distributed yesterday, Rabbi Tzadka called for participation in the demonstration saying: "It is an obligation and great mitzvah to participate in this rally that all the rabbis have announced, as it is about saving lives. May this rally help cancel the conscription decree and all the bad decrees."
