The Tel Aviv District Court has permitted publication, at the victims' request, that Rabbi Eliyahu Gudelsky was convicted a year ago of committing sexual offenses against three of his daughters. In July, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison, a suspended sentence, and ordered to pay compensation to the victims. One of the victims said after the court's decision: "I'm happy to be able to breathe again after the request to lift the publication ban was accepted. Finally, the shame shifts sides and we no longer need to hide behind shame and guilt that don't belong to us."
