The government communications ministry in Gaza announced the dissolution of the Hamas government to make way for the entry of the technocrat committee into the Strip. The ministry stated that 'the chairman of the emergency committee has submitted his resignation ahead of the transfer of management of the Gaza Strip to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza. Employees at the technical and professional levels will continue in their positions to ensure the continued provision of services to citizens. The heads of current government institutions will serve as a temporary body during the transition period. All employees will continue to perform their duties under the responsibility of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza.'
