Defense Ministry Director-General Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram confirmed that the ministry has already received the necessary approvals to arrange evacuation flights for IDF personnel, Defense Ministry employees and defense industry workers. According to him, the flights will be conducted according to clear operational priorities: "The Defense Ministry is responsible for bringing back all essential personnel to the IDF. After that - employees essential for security purposes, Defense Ministry staff that I need and defense industry personnel required for expanding and maintaining production lines, transportation and transfer." He added that simultaneously, the Transportation Ministry is working to return tens of thousands of other Israelis who were abroad for tourism purposes.
