Military Defense files High Court petition against State Comptroller: 'Exceeding authority on Oct 7'

|
The Military Defense has filed an urgent petition to the High Court of Justice against State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman, demanding to halt review procedures on core issues related to the October 7 events and the outbreak of Operation Iron Swords. According to the Defense, the Comptroller is 'exceeding his authority and severely and irreversibly harming the rights of IDF servicemembers and the work of any future investigation committee.' However, the Defense emphasized that even with the requested order, the State Comptroller would retain more than 35 important audit topics concerning the IDF in relation to the October 7 events and the war.
