Hamas attempted another raid last night on an IDF outpost in Gaza City, simultaneously with the raid on the Kfir outpost where five officers and soldiers were seriously wounded by explosives and gunfire, ynet has learned. This raid was apparently disrupted, but forces at that outpost remain on alert for an attack. The IDF estimates that Hamas will increase efforts to carry out such raids against IDF outposts in the Strip, particularly in Gaza City, in the coming days. Accordingly, forces have been instructed to increase vigilance, especially at outposts considered static and more vulnerable. One scenario being considered is simultaneous guerrilla raids on several outposts in the same area.
