The president of the Open University, the rector and the CEO announced they will join the protest strike of the hostages' families on Sunday, and will also allow faculty and students to strike. In a letter sent to the university's staff and students, they wrote: "This is the moral duty of the state and Israeli society, and also ours personally." The Movement for Quality Government also announced it will join the strike and allow its employees to participate in protests, but will appoint standby staff who will "continue the vital criticism and supervision activity on the government's work."
