Mohammed Mansour, a senior official in the Houthi propaganda ministry, threatened that closing the Bab al-Mandab Strait is "among the options" for the terrorist organization's actions. In an interview with Qatar's Al-Araby channel, he said: "We are coordinating with our brothers in the resistance axis regarding our entry into the war. Our responsibility toward Iran and Hezbollah is moral and religious. We are managing this battle gradually, and closing the Bab al-Mandab Strait is among our options. The Yemeni resistance has concluded that today is the time to intervene." Bab al-Mandab is a strait located between Yemen and the African countries of Djibouti and Eritrea – effectively connecting two parts of the globe and allowing cargo ships coming from Asia and Africa to reach the Mediterranean region and from there to America as well.
