Indictment: 17-year-old barber from Afula stabbed man, seriously injuring him over business dispute about clients

|
The Police Prosecution in Nazareth yesterday filed an indictment in the city's Youth Court against a 17-year-old barber from Afula, charged with stabbing a man and seriously injuring him during a brawl. The incident occurred on October 21, stemming from a business dispute over clients between the defendant and another barber at the barbershop where he worked in the city. Police noted that "two weeks before the brawl, the defendant made telephone threats against his colleague at the barbershop and his family members, while making severe threats against their lives. On the day of the incident, the defendant arrived accompanied by his father at the barbershop, and in response the other barber also called his father. A physical confrontation and shoving erupted at the scene among all those involved, during which the defendant pulled scissors from his pocket and stabbed the other employee's father in the back five times." In addition to the indictment, a request was filed for his detention until the end of proceedings.
