The IDF and Shin Bet announced that overnight they struck in northern Gaza and eliminated the terrorist Ahmed Batash, commander of the Jabaliya Battalion in the Northern Brigade of Hamas' military wing. According to the statement, in his role the terrorist was involved in managing and organizing the brigade's combat resources, advanced terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and worked to restore the organization's capabilities, while systematically violating the ceasefire. It was further reported that before and during the strike, steps were taken to minimize harm to civilians as much as possible, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
