US sources told reporters during a briefing that invitations have been sent out over the past day to individuals to join the "peace council" that will temporarily govern the Gaza Strip, which is being assembled by US President Donald Trump. The sources refused to disclose who received the invitations but said Trump will personally select the council members. They added that additional information about the international stabilization force for Gaza will be published in two weeks.
