AG rep to High Court: 'I cannot commit to enforcement in Haredi population centers'

|
Attorney Neta Oren, representative of the Attorney General at a High Court hearing on contempt of court petitions regarding non-compliance with rulings on Haredi conscription, argued that a court ruling is not enough and that 'there is no escape from orders that will instruct each minister what is required of them, because things are not being implemented.' Justice Noam Solberg addressed her: 'Can the lady commit that the police will resume performing their duty and carry out enforcement also in Haredi population centers?' She replied: 'I wish I could commit to that. Unfortunately, I certainly cannot commit.'
