Man shot dead in Jaffa cafe, criminal background suspected

Asad Kabha, a man in his 50s, was shot dead at close range in a cafe on Kedem Street in Jaffa. Police reported they have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident and that the background is criminal. MDA paramedic Yissachar Weiss said, "The man was lying unconscious near a local restaurant with penetrating wounds to his body. We performed medical checks, but his injury was fatal and we had no choice but to pronounce him dead." Since the beginning of the year, 142 people have been murdered in the Arab community in Israel.
