Police reported that preliminary investigation of the fatal collision between a private vehicle and a police car on Route 25 near Segev Shalom in the Negev reveals that during a National Traffic Police enforcement operation, a private vehicle was detected speeding at 170 km/h and ignored officers' orders to stop. During the pursuit, the private vehicle's driver crashed into another police car near Segev Shalom junction. As a result of the collision, a 14-year-old passenger in the private vehicle was pronounced dead. Later, a police volunteer was also pronounced dead.
