Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion eulogized former mayor Uri Lupolianski who passed away. Lion stated that "Lupolianski was a man of great kindness and action. The world and Jerusalem will remember Uri's work, character and acts of kindness for generations. Uri dedicated his life to kindness, public service and genuine care for people, with deep humility and boundless commitment." He added: "His life's work with 'Yad Sarah' brought relief and assistance where no person or entity was available, helping tens of thousands of families during their most difficult and pressing times. His passing is a great loss for Jerusalem and the people of Israel, leaving us profoundly lacking."
