Israeli gaming company Playtika is preparing to lay off about 20% of its employees in December, according to information obtained by Calcalist. The layoffs will begin next month, with an estimated 700-800 employees expected to lose their jobs. Playtika currently employs about 3,500 workers, including about 1,000 in Israel. Since 2022, the company has conducted four rounds of layoffs, which resulted in over 1,000 employees being let go across all four rounds, with the most recent occurring this past June. The company is traded on Nasdaq with a valuation of about $1.5 billion. In the third quarter, the company reported revenues of $674.6 million and a net profit of about $39 million.
