Netivei Israel (Israel Roads Company) reported that due to ultra-Orthodox protests, Route 4 northbound from Messubim Interchange to Em HaMoshavot Interchange, Yavne Interchange and Route 4 southbound from Em HaMoshavot Interchange to Bar Ilan Interchange have been closed to traffic. Police declared both the Route 4 protest and the Jerusalem protest illegal demonstrations, and clashes erupted between police and ultra-Orthodox demonstrators, with some protesters hurling stones.
