IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted an initial investigation at the deadly attack scene in Samaria alongside Central Command Chief Maj. Gen. Avi Blot, Judea and Samaria Division Commander Brig. Gen. Yaki Dolf and other commanders. The IDF spokesperson reported that the Chief of Staff instructed forces to continue the encirclement operations, curfew and pursuit of the terrorists. According to Zamir, "This is a severe and painful attack, and I deeply share the family's sorrow. We are in a broad fight against terrorism in Judea and Samaria and will continue. We will employ all our tools and reach these murderers to settle the score with them."
