US: Lawsuit against Apple following dismissal of employee who converted to Judaism and refused to work on Sabbath

|
The American agency for enforcing anti-discrimination laws in workplaces is suing Apple, claiming that a store manager made antisemitic remarks and rejected a converted employee's request for time off on Saturdays. According to the lawsuit, the employee from Virginia who began working at the store in 2007 providing technical support to customers converted to Judaism in 2023. He was fired in January 2024, a few days after refusing the manager's request to work on Friday.
