Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich clashed with Ra'am party lawmaker Iman Khatib-Yasin during the Finance Committee meeting. Smotrich asked her: "Are we to blame you kill each other?" Earlier, the lawmaker spoke in the committee about violence in Arab society and addressed Smotrich: "Do you know what the poverty rate is in Arab society? Do you know how many elderly people struggle between food and medication? You don't know because you live in privilege." Smotrich replied: "You represent a public that doesn't pay income tax, so they don't receive." Yasin said the reason is that there is no income, and he responded: "Because you work under the table, shoot and cry." Yasin said she wants the state to issue a statement against violence, and Smotrich said: "Are we also to blame you kill each other?"
