The IDF and Shin Bet struck earlier this week in Gaza City and eliminated Jamal Abu Sa'id, head of the Operations Department in Hamas, who held Omer Shem Tov captive during the war. The IDF and Shin Bet stated that "over the years, Abu Sa'id filled a series of senior positions in the terror organization. He was responsible for training military operatives outside the Gaza Strip, served as an anti-tank battalion commander and was in charge of military specializations in Hamas's Central Camps Brigade. As part of his role, he was responsible for the terror organization's contact with various countries and was a significant source of knowledge for the organization."
