Swiss food giant Nestlé announced the dismissal of CEO Laurent Freixe after an internal investigation found he had an undisclosed romantic relationship with a direct subordinate. Philippe Navratil, a senior executive at the company, was appointed in his place. The decision was made following a comprehensive investigation led by Chairman of the Board Paul Bulcke and senior executive Pablo Isla, with assistance from external lawyers. The investigation focused on the secret romantic relationship between Freixe and his direct subordinate, which was defined as a violation of the company's business code of conduct.
